<p>Last year, Kung Fu Plaza added wines from the William Hill Estate Winery in support of local music programs and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. The fundraising effort concluded at the end of last April. </p>

<p>“We are slowly growing our wine lists that have a natural link to Las Vegas, making wine tasting more fun for visiting Thai people and carefully selected wines that we already know will taste good with the food,” said Alan Wong, general manager of Kung Fu Plaza. “The Elvis wines fit well on both counts. They have a Vegas-connected brand and also bolder flavors that match very well with Thai and Chinese cuisine.”</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Adding a selection of Elvis Presley-branded wines is part of Wong’s effort to find the best wine matches for Thai cuisine after being inspired by the increasing interest in European wines by the Chinese. In addition to encouraging an interest in wine, China is home to several vineyards that produce Chardonnay and Riesling wines in the Sichuan region. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>“The wines we serve are mostly from Southern California, but I’ve been researching wineries from all over the world,” said Wong. “Naturally, people generally avoid tannic wines with hot and spicy foods, but not all Thai foods are spicy. Red wines can work with heavier dishes. One of our favorites from the Elvis Presley Wine Cellars is the Blue Hawaii, which is a sweeter tropical Riesling. However, a Chardonnay can play well with some dishes.”</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>The selection from Elvis Presley includes: Jailhouse Rock (a richly flavored Merlot), The King Of Rock &amp; Roll (a flashy Cabernet Sauvignon), Blue Suede (a vibrant Chardonnay), and Blue Hawaii (a tropical Riesling). The Riesling, Wong says, works especially well with spicier foods. </p>

<p>While this is not the first time Elvis Presley wines have been offered on the market, the wine crafters say that this is the first edition line. Occasionally, the winery creates seasonal wines. For example, it offered an Elvis Christmas Pinot Noir last Thanksgiving. The wine cellar also produced 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel. </p>

<p> It is said that getting married is one of the most special, momentous days in a person’s life; and according to Richard Aldridge, this was certainly the case. A director at Plumbworld, the UK’s largest and most recognised online retailer for bathrooms and showers, Richard has recently taken the plunge into marriage with long term partner Alex. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>The date had been set in stone since the summer of 2011 when Richard proposed, leaving the couple (Alex), just enough time to plan the wedding they’d always dreamed of. The plans consisted of America, namely, Las Vegas to play host to this wedding before a long road trip to the California coast line for a romantic getaway honeymoon. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Richard Aldridge, Director of IT, commented on some aspects of the wedding; “What can I say, it was a wedding, it was a memorable experience that will be with me for my entire life time; I’m still overwhelmed and beyond happy at the thought of being married to Alex, let alone it being a reality. The wedding in my eyes was flawless, I hope it was equally perfect for her as well; the reception, the ceremony, the after party and the honeymoon all went better than we could ever have expected.” He carried on; “The ceremony was a small gathering of the most meaningful people in our lives and nothing too over the top, we aren’t ones to make a song and dance over everything&#8230; unlike the Plumbworld boys and girls which I will get onto later.” </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>To jump in at this point seems right, a few days before Rich and Alex jetted off to the ‘States’, an unofficial surprise party was coordinated in the Plumbworld warehouse. All the employees chipped in to make the warehouse look fancy (whilst still operable, dishing out almost 750 orders the same day); Rich couldn’t believe his eyes when he went down there. All day people had been doing everything they could to keep him from going down there, and it’s an extremely hard task, even with rope and handcuffs, people would struggle to contain Rich. So there it was, the PW warehouse fit for a king; well, maybe not a real king, but a king of baths at least. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>We’ll carry on where Rich left off, “I was gobsmacked to see everyone down there, it was nice to know everyone actually cared that much; we’re quite a tight-knit team here at Plumbworld, but I never expected anything like this. If I wasn’t such a man, I may have shed a tear, but manly is my middle name, I have a Saab.” </p>

<p>Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading. It was started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and was sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006.
